In the United States, 2007-2008 survey shows that the dog-are the families who have bigger than their cats, but that the number of dogs are higher than dogs.combined reptiles are the next popular, followed by birds, followed by horses and, finally, monkeys.

In Canada, a review of recent IPSOS Reid Colin Siren is estimated that 7.9 million cats and dogs, 5.9 million in Canada. The survey also shows that 35% of housholds in Kanadanu dogs, while 38% talk, which is consistent with other research in the world.
